How does one find a job on Craigslist? For many who don’t know, Craigslist is a fantastic source of job listings in a specific demographic or city. Jobs are listed by location and category and one can also post their resume to their local Craigslist site for extra exposure for your job search.
The easiest way to find jobs on Craigslist is to go to the city or state site where you are interested in looking for jobs. You will see a directory of sites on the right side of the original Craigslist page or you can go directly to the list of Craigslist – Cities. Not all cities have a dedicated site for job listing or posting, so if you don’t see your city you can simply use the state or province site. (more…)

Advertising on Craigslist
Advertising on Craigslist is worthwhile for just about any business offering products or services. Whether these products are offered through ecommerce websites or physical stores, the business owners can see financial gains through advertising on Craigslist. Firstly unlike other advertising opportunities there is very little risk involved in posting on Craigslist. With the exception of job postings and housing postings in specific markets, advertising is free on Craigslist. Users are asked to agree to the terms of service of the community and are expected to follow specific guidelines when posting advertisements but there are no financial obligations to those placing advertisements on Craigslist. This means those who post advertisements do not have to be concerned with whether or not the advertisement they place will meet their expectations in terms of sales generated. (more…)

A 47-year-old Burnaby man was charged Wednesday with forcing women to work as prostitutes after a two-year human trafficking investigation, the RCMP said.
Jian Feng “Michael” Li appeared in Vancouver Provincial Court today to face one count of living off the avails of prostitution and four counts of keeping a common bawdy house. He was released and is scheduled to next appear in court Nov. 10.
The RCMP allege Li sponsored up to nine women from Hong Kong who were forced to work in the sex trade when they came to Canada. Investigators also allege Li was using Craigslist to advertise four brothels that he was running in Surrey, Burnaby, Coquitlam and Richmond.
Investigators believe Li was making up to $40,000 dollars a week with the women under his control. (more…)
