How to Upload Images to Craigslist

Uploading a picture to Craigslist is relatively simple. With just a few clicks of the mouse, you can be on your way to selling that item you have been waiting to get rid of. The only limitation is whether you have a picture of it. Here are 10 simple steps to upload images to Craigslist.

Step 1
Go to http://www.craigslist.org. This will allow you to enter the craigslist homepage.

Step 2
Find the area you will be searching in on the right hand side of the screen. Choose your country, state, or city.

Step 3
Locate the “Post to Classifieds” button in the top-left corner of the screen. Click it when you have found it.Choose the type of posting that applies to what you want to put on craigslist.
Step 4
After choosing your posting, find the category that pertains to your item you are placing on craigslist.

Step 5
Choose the area that best applies to you.

Step 6
Locate the “Add/Edit Images” button in the bottom-left corner of your screen and push it once you have found it. After pushing it, you should see four red Xs appear on your screen. Each of these Xs has a “choose file” button under it.

Step 7
Click the “Choose File” button found under the red X. This will bring up a window that will allow you to browse to the picture file you intend to use in your classified ad.

Step 8
After you find the proper picture in the search window, you can either double-click the icon, or click it once and than push the “Open” button in the bottom-right corner of the search window.

Step 9
After you double-click, or push “Open,” two things will happen. The red X will change to a green circle, and you will see the file name appear where before it said “No File Chosen.” You can choose up to four pictures.

Step 10
When you are finished choosing your pictures, scroll all the way to the bottom of the screen. In the bottom-left corner, you will see a “Continue” button. After you click it, your computer will begin to upload the pictures. It should not take long. When it is finished, your pictures will appear where the green circles used to be.
